What are the qualifications for nursing school in Nigeria?
In Nigeria, the basic nursing program is the General Nursing Program. If you are accepted into a school of nursing for a general nursing program, you can become a registered nurse after three years of study.
The current entry prerequisite is five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from either the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NEC) is not more than two (2) sittings (NECO).
Any student who has received a result from a foreign assessment board must also request an evaluation report or similar grading from the Federal Ministry of Education. Currently, NABTEB is not suitable.
