The Buhari administration’s Social Investment Programme is the largest and most ambitious social investment programme in Nigeria’s history


The Home Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSF) aims to deliver school feeding to young children on the basis of one nutritious meal per day.

Loan Amount – N300,000 for farmers in farming clusters, via farm aggregators. Beneficiaries – 5,200 farmers

- Medium-scale traders, market women, artisans, and youth in market associations – under the auspices of their cooperative societies.

The Programme provides targeted monthly Base Cash Transfer of N5,000 to the poorest and most vulnerable households in the country, with the sole aim of graduating them out of absolute poverty.

GEEP financially empowers small businesses, arti-sans, market women and traders.

The largest post-tertiary employment programme in Africa. Beneficiaries – 500,000 Nigerian graduates, being paid a monthly stipend of N30,000 to work in healthcare, education, agriculture, construction, etc (to reach 10 million by 2023)

Loans Amount – N10,000 (higher facility ranging from N15,000 to N50,000 when they repay N10,000). Beneficiaries – 809,000 (to reach 2 million by December, 2018)
