For the first time in recent history, the Buhari Administration has achieved about 30% of budgetary allocation to the provision of basic infrastructure/capital projects.
This is a sharp contrast to the previous average of 10% allocation to infrastructure/capital projects in past administrations.
In this regard, a whopping sum of N2.7trillion (consisting of about N1.2 trillion in 2016 and N1.5trillion in 2017) actual cash releases were made for infrastructure/capital projects. This sum is the highest so far in the history of Nigeria.
